On October 10, while visiting family in China, our friend and colleague, Sylvia Yam, suffered a stroke.
It is with great sadness that we share that Sylvia passed away on October 31 very peacefully in China.
Sylvia was a unique woman, who knew the true meaning of teaching Music to people of all ages. She always demonstrated great enthusiasm and thoughtfulness in everything she did. The Sask Orff Chapter appreciates everything she did to make our Chapter what it is today. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and share her expertise. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Until we meet again, Sylvia, we'll miss you dearly. Thanks for the memories.
